My role
As the product designer, my goal was to collaborate with the NLB team—PM, engineers, marketing, and sales—to develop the Fungicide Timing alpha tool from 0 - 1, helping growers and retailers make informed crop protection decisions.
US corn growers traditionally have not seen the benefit of applying fungicide to prevent yields and revenue.
Chemicals are expensive. Some growers aren’t sure fungicides will provide a Return on Investment for their situation.
Some growers see fungicide value but struggle with timing—spraying too early risks later outbreaks, while spraying too late cuts yields.

Solutions
Corteva’s crop protection business plans to offer US corn growers a software service that monitors disease, recommends optimal spray timing, and promotes Aproach Prima, bundling it with the Fungicide Timing tool as a complete solution.
Design - Home screen
With time constrain, we leveraged the existing Granular Insights design system and capabilities to create a homepage featuring a field list and map view. It enables users to view their fungicide results and take appropriate actions at one place.
Design challenges
• How can I design a seamless enrollment process for farmers to access the Fungicide Timing tool after purchasing?
• What is the process from enrollment to crop protection spraying?
Design - phrase 1
Using the new user flow, I designed a static onboarding process guiding users from field enrollment to spraying.
